2020 AHSAA North-South All-Star Football Game
Mobile hosted the first December game at the Hancock Whitney Stadium on the University of South Alabama campus December 18, 2020. This AHSAA-sanctioned annual football game featured the top 80 rising senior players in the state of Alabama competing in a North vs. South Alabama format.
This highly anticipated game has a long-standing history in the state of Alabama. It was first played in 1948 as part of the popular coaches' convention held at the University of Alabama each year. The game was disbanded after the 1984 season but brought back as part of the newly created Alabama All-Star Sports Week in 1997. This event had been played every year in July, but the AHSAA decided to move it to December to showcase the upcoming senior class of players.
